A friend of my wife was talking about you at a dinner party recently. I was surprised to hear her say she had been to see someone, I always thought she was "normal" but she was very positive about her experience. I would never have considered that I have anything wrong that I need "therapy" but she mentioned dreams in the conversation and she got me thinking. I wouldn’t call them night mares but I have dreams that wake me up feeling very uneasy. It’s not the same dream all the time but I always seem to be in bad situations that I can’t fix. Can hypnosis really help stop these dreams?

Dream analysis can be an excellent way of understanding what may be disturbing the subconscious. When you examine your dream in hypnosis the meaning can become very clear and then you can relate it back to something bothering you in your life. Understanding your issue then gives you an opportunity to resolve the problem and hence the dreams should stop.

I don’t subscribe to the theory that " a house" may represent x and "a dog" may represent y. I believe that the images and situations in your dreams are unique to the individual. As dreams come from the subconscious, using hypnosis to get into the subconscious makes understanding the dreams much easier.
